To me, I Power has just as much potential as AtheneLive or any other platform for making a direct contribution in the activism/charity world. I believe truly that given the right conditions for this site to grow again, that we can make a huge difference and change things in a real way on a regular basis. I believe that this site can be a force for the greater good.

This isn't an ideal time for me to hold such a view, with so few people still active at I Power, but perhaps it's also the best time. Right now with such a small group, we can also be more flexible and adapt and change as we need to make the biggest impact and reach out to the most people. But I digress, as what I'm really interested in is what you think about I Power.

What is I Power's purpose to you? Do you see it as an educational tool? A community of smart people? A platform for operating activism/charity? What do you think I Power's greatest potential is?

I think the main point which the crew wasn't getting to before they left was self development activism.

I see it as being the place to go when you have something you believe in but maybe aren't confident enough to dedicate yourself to it. For example you have some sort of altruistic endeavour that requires you talk to and meet lots of new people but you're not very confident in real life, come to ipower to get help with becoming confident.

For me, it's a place to talk with like minded intelligent people and know (especially after the chat talking today) that we can have intelligent heated discussions and debates without it colouring our opinions of each other. It's for people who realise that winning a debate is not about being right, it's about coming to some sort of agreement and understanding.

I don't see it as an educational tool but maybe a platform for supporting activism but not in a traditional way. Maybe more of an advice forum xD

Anyway, I do see the main focus of this site as SDA. I think that's the direction it should take.

"Be the change you want to see in the world"

sometimes people want a change in the world but don't know how to be that change, this site helps you do that

I'd like to discuss something that bothers me about people, how often times people condemn others for doing something wrong all the while ignoring their own transgressions. I'm going to use an extreme example of school shooters. Society condemns…See More
