Scientific Research & Self-Development Activism
I came across this video today by Dean Leysen, {Reese's brother, and a co-founder of this website,} and thought that its subject matter was something that really needs to be addressed here once in a while, because Chiren & Reese's videos about consciousness continue to attract a lot of "New Age" believers to sign up for memberships here; and we have found ourselves "bumping heads" with them about the posting of pseudoscientific content at least once a week or so since the Crew released the "Athene's Theory of Everything" video last January.
Part of the reason for this, and something that I don't think they took into account or anticipated when they made that video, is that there are a shitload of crackpots out there in the New Age "movement" who have been using quantum physics as a mystifying explanation for some of the wild things they teach for quite a few years now. So what happens is, a metaphysics "believer" out there will stumble across one of Reese's videos on consciousness, {the AToE video was actually being posted on several New Age websites last year as something inspirational, btw} and they jizz in their pants {or panties} because they think that Reese must be one of the "enlightened ones" in this world who is "vibrating on a higher frequency" than the rest of us; and that I-Power must be a New Age website that is trying to usher in the Age of Enlightenment for humanity by helping people to self-develop themselves towards attaining "ascension". lol
Now, all of you veteran I-Power members out there will probably find that hilarious, and you're probably laughing your asses off right now... but for the moderators here, it all stopped being funny around April of last year, and we are still having to deal with pseudoscience bullshit here every week and fighting with people to try to keep the site respectable.
Anyway, check out Dean's new video. I think you'll enjoy it. And I'll provide a bunch of links below regarding this subject so that you can educate yourselves about it all a little more if you'd like.

And, of course you could do your own Google search for more info, but here's a simple one:
Hope you enjoyed the video as much as I did. I personally appreciated how he mentioned that even professional physicists today do not really understand quantum mechanics yet, so anybody else out there who claims that they do... should be immediately suspected of fraud. :-P
Did you know... that there are over 20 different quantum mechanics theories? :-)

Permalink Reply by Lore on August 16, 2012 at 11:07pm Good video. I've only read a little about quantum physics but it looks fascinating. Of course, I don't know what I'm talking about. :)

Permalink Reply by Tea Bitsadze on August 24, 2012 at 10:43pm I have to confess, I have just read the community rules. :)... All of them from #7 till #1 :)
Thanks for the great links, Shiznit!
