Scientific Research & Self-Development Activism
Now I know Ipower is more into science, but this is more of a "Fake or real?" kind of discussion. It doesn't really have anything to do with science or religion. Please be open minded.

"Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?"

Permalink Reply by Walruslord on August 8, 2011 at 6:56am So God is malevolent, yes? As an example, 9/11, he didn't have to stop the terrorists from having the thoughts or even highjacking the plane, but couldn't he have used divine intervention so everyone teleported off the plane? Or the plane dodge the tower and autopiloted to safety, or a bunch of other things. He doesn't need to stop the people. He can still punish them if he knew they intended to kill everyone aboard and in the towers. And also what about natural disasters, no one is causing those, but God just allows it to happen. So you can't use freewill as an arguement there.
And isn't good and evil mostly from nurture? for example, many people who grew up around drug addicted, poverty stricken parents would join a gang, and steal, rape , and murder. However if that same person was taught good values in a stable middle-upper class home they would be completely opposite.
Why should evil even exist? Why would a "loving" god create people capable of evil? Why would he create rape, murder, torture etc? And finally, if god created every human good, where did evil come from? If everyone is good no one would ever have the desire to commit an "evil" act.

@Vlad - People do occasionally debate religion on this site; but that was not the intention of this particular post. Z.A. clearly stated in his intro that this post was merely to get people's opinions about the stigmata-related phenomena that was shown in the video he linked. We have to be very careful here when it comes to Discussions about God & religion, because many people get extremely emotional about it all and end up getting into heated & mean-spirited arguments rather than rational debates... as Walruslord admitted:
"I lack self-control when it comes to religious debates."
Please try to control yourself, everybody, and allow this discussion to continue on-topic. The topic, btw, is not whether God exists or not; or whether God is malevolent or not. If you would like to debate those things with people, I would suggest that you start another thread specifically related to those questions.
Future off-topic comments in this thread may be deleted; or the thread closed.
Thanks in advance for your understanding & cooperation. :-D
Permalink Reply by Michael V. on February 15, 2012 at 9:28pm Seems to me like a fake... several reasons..
God wouldn't make a baby suffer to share a message as obvious as that.. everyone already does that around there...what the message says.
Second.. Why would he need attention at all.. If he would really wanna put a message on babyskin he would do it in a way no1 could deny it his from god.. (not with heatwounds) >-< atleast painless .. cause he is divine and can do that.
imo the parent wanna impose a prophet.. they want their baby to be treated like a prophet.
Don't think this story will stand for long.
