The main reason why MSR-reactors are not in the mass practical use, despite the huge reserves of raw materials and a small amount of waste - thorium is not a raw material for making nuclear weapons.

I really like this concept, if it's as good as they say then it's a damn shame for the human race ( again ), that we chose to use nuclear power so we could make bombs, instead of this. I just hope that my generation will not be so foolish.
