Girl kills herself after researching 2012 doomsday prophecies

People wonder why I argue so agressively with those who would have us believe the world will end near the end of this year, those who say that the illuminati are planning to reduce the world's population by 80%, people sho say the Fukushima disaster is going to poison half the world's drinking water etc etc.

You don't help with your stories you say "free people's minds", you just scare them and it's shit like this that proves it and when the government uses stories like this as a reason to censor you, it will be your own fault. People aren't trying to stop you spreading the truth, they're stopping you spreading the kind of shit that fucks with people's minds.

I know there wasn't much I could do but it still makes me angry that people will see this and twist it to further back their distorted ideas and there is nothing I can do to stop that.

copied and pasted from a facebook status I just made and had to share here with an intelligent group of people. I'm angry and upset because I feel like I have failed because I couldn't tell that girl that the stories were all bullshit and she shouldn't worry so much. I know I shouldn't feel guilty about this because there was nothing I could do but I can't help it. I'm just the type of person that cares deeply about his fellow man (or young woman with all of life's potential ahead. Wasn't sure about blogging this but forum posts are easier to reply on so sticking it in off topic

From the beginning of the human kind, fear was necessary to keep us alive and avoid certain dangers lions, bigger monkeys, ecc. so is well preserved in our brains because we can't compair 500 years of so called evolution with two millions. Governs and media know that and work it as a tool in controlling the masses. Doomsday 2012 is the same like: if you eat a banana every midnight for three days you'll die:))

"Absolutely, I completely agree. The only way to solve the problem is to eliminate the cause. Exactly, the shooter gains worldwide fame over night. Why would a resentful, friendless, lonely, insane young man who wanted to leave an impression on the…"

"An issue in the context of your reply is the so-called "mad/bad debate". And it very much plays into the perception of these rather extreme forms of criminal behavior. From a legal and forensic psychological standpoint a…"

"I agree with the principle to an extent. However, in the case of school shooters, I don't think it can be justified. Same with rape. There's definitely a line, but like you said, those are the most extreme cases. On the topic of mass…"
