Hi there people,

This Dutch, 19-year old, maths/physics major, ginger-haired, INTP guy likes to say hi.

For all of those who are confused by the term "INTP", it's an acronym for my personality type, based on MBTI. It think it's a quasi-science, rather, but that's okay - it's helpful in understanding other people.

Before I continue with an introduction (which isn't actually that long), I'd like to say something about the 50-minute video of Athene. I don't really know where to put it, but I suppose this introduction will suffice.

So, what I'd like to say, and actually ask all of you who read this, is how much is that video biased towards ipower?

I mean, throughout the whole video I got this feeling the narrator wanted to subtly tell you that only through self-awareness can you improve yourself, and by that the society we live in.. Now, I don't mean to say that I disagree. But I'd like to ponder a different question. What really IS self-improvement? And what really is "an improvement"? Is that not based on subjective standards?

Once again, I agree that certain things in life improve your sense well-being while others do not - but this 'sense of well-being' is subjective nonetheless. And while certainly am in favour of this iPower project, I just felt as if the idea of self-improvement and collaborative improvement through self-realization is a rather biased approach to a video which looks as if it is entirely objective with no other mission than to provide information. I know that physics part is the narrator's own interpretation - but this is only information - while I sense a hidden motive. Whether is done on purpose, or not, I do not know. But nonethless, I felt like pointing it out, especially because it appeals to me as an objective and rational video, giving me the feeling that it is without motive.

Well, now that I've got that out of my way, I suppose a motto for my life style would be: "Never let your inner child with both its enthusiasm and curiousity get taken over by judgmental cynicism. Oh, and remain healthily skeptical, also about this quote."

I actually just came up with that quote, though it's something I've felt like :).

Oh, yeah, I've got a youtube: Galloh. In case you're looking for ninjas, you should go there.

And now I'm going to bed. Cya later!

I'd like to discuss something that bothers me about people, how often times people condemn others for doing something wrong all the while ignoring their own transgressions. I'm going to use an extreme example of school shooters. Society condemns…See More
