Hello all.

I am starting this discussion to start a dialog of collaboration on a project I have been working on that will make everyone's lives much more rewarding, and quite possibly usher us into a new era of prosperity.

Since this community is all about the advancement of the Self as well as the Species, I expect some awesome responses :)  That said I will get into the basics.

We call it Bliss.  It is a virtual environment, accessible across multiple devices, that transforms every action you perform in a day, be it a physical action, a review of something, or simply sharing of thoughts or someone else content, into a more rewarding experience through the application of game mechanics.

Now the platform itself comes with a full-suite of design and engineering tools that allow the user to go from idea to working model then to simulated test runs without having to expend any natural resources and in a fraction of the time.

The core of this tool however is where the real magic begins.  The whole platform is built around the processes of collaboration using the Q-Flow Method (link at bottom) and a key component that we call the Meta-Node. It is an object that can represent anything from a pixel to a planet.  Meta-Node is also multi-dimensional so you can have an unlimited depth in relating other nodes to the object in question and it can be tangible and/or metaphysical. Examples: Planet.Name.Earth, Human.Eye.Color.Blue.Hue.200, God.Universe.Pisces-Cetus.Virgo.Local  (this does not directly represent how these nodes are accessed)

The Story of Bliss is intriguing as well.  Taking place in the far future (designed using the best that science can offer in terms of projection), mankind has destroyed itself.  The brain children of man and species of natural & influenced evolution however are still here and have decided to alter the past in order to ensure the survival of mankind.

In this vein, they have built a portal device that they can send back in time that allows users to connect and project their avatar into the future.  Using cutting edge tools they can effect the past via social media and other methods.

The reward system is based on Social & Environmental Impact, both positive and negative.  The more people you impact in a positive way, the more "XP" you get. Accuracy is maintained through a peer review processes and Balance is maintained through a Positive to Negative impact ratio.

Life imitates Art, so the point is to build a Utopia of the Future that we can grow into.  By building on collaboration, positive impact, and the protection of individual liberties through a fair and open system controlled by the people, this future is assured.

Before closing I will outline my vision of a Utopian society because many people have different images of what that means.

A Utopian society is one that provides equal opportunity to every living being regardless of function or capacity.  It values Freedom, Life, Innovation, and Prosperity at it's core.  It is a society that can function across the spectrum of the human experience, allowing individuals to truly be individuals while strengthening the whole through collaborative learning and production.  It also operates on principles of abundance instead of debt. So if this sounds interesting to you and you would like to be part of it let me know. There is much more information on this that will be shared in the launch of the blisswecan.com website(no ETA). I won't go into details here but I will be honest.  We are a startup on the ground floor and the project is still in the concept phase and the current objective is to start building a team of people with specific skill sets and passions.  Another ongoing objective is in obtaining funding. There is an extensive plan being carried out towards that end through the Idea Sponge mission and we are always looking for eager, talented individuals who thrive in a team environment (virtual & in person) and have a desire to impact the world in a positive way.

Sounds awesome!  I'm interested in participating.

Oh! and you might like this link about gaming, too:

Awesome and thanks for the vid link.  It definitely provides a lot to think about.

What level would you like to get involved at?  Other than what is already stated in terms of "needs" above, one thing that is needed is a prototype that can at least demonstrate the usefullness of such a tool.  Once we have that it will be so much easier to get funding.

On a funding level there are multiple choices there and we will probably exploit a little of all of them.  The plan that is being carried out right now involves the growth of the Idea Sponge corporation so that we can fund the development directly ourselves without having to pull in big investors.  We will also be using crowd-funding for a number of projects that fold into the Bliss project.(explained below)

Our organizational structure is also a very unique one that follows an Open Enterprise model with a strong leadership team at the core.  The overall objective of Idea Sponge is the eradication of poverty and human trafficking through the advancement of technology and design. I know it is a mouthful and a very ambitious goal, however it is one we can surely achieve.

The plan is a brilliant plan if I do say so myself, and this has been confirmed by others who look at it too. It involves the development of different technologies that all roll into each other. We finish one product that is a marketable venture while at the same time that product becomes a component within the next project, thus snowballing our efforts towards the larger goal. If you want to get involved at that level that would be great as well because that is where most of the action is taking place right now.

I'd like to be very clear about something that I feel strongly about.  And that is the acknowledgement and reward of effort that leads to any amount of gain.  The reason why Idea Sponge uses an Open Enterprise model is because I hate dictators and it would be pretty hypocritical for me to be one within my own organization.  I also hate covetous behavior and it would be hypocritical for me to hog all the wealth that Idea Sponge generates just because I was a Founder.  So with that in mind our compensation plan is probably the most rewarding plan in place by any other company besides others that use an Open Enterprise model.  We use a method that we call the 20% rule and it basically outlines how revenue is distributed in the org with every effort reaping the rewards for as long as their effort generates revenue. (i.e. a developer will continue to earn on the revenue generated by the projects they work on for as long as their code is in place)

I don't want to detract too much from the main topic, Bliss, so I if anyone is interested in learning more about Idea Sponge just msg me.  Here is a link though that sheds some light on the Open Enterprise subject: http://bettermeans.org/front/learn-more/open-enterprise-manifesto/

Kinda surprised this hasn't gotten more attention given the nature of this site and the founders backgrounds.

Whoa! I didn't really notice this post until now. I'm bumping this up. I'm extremely glad that there are people who are taking on a project such as this that could challenge our current values and our perception of the world showing an alternative reality towards a positive future for mankind. It's refreshing. Thanks for the heads up, Glenn :D

Awesome, glad to hear you like it :) If there is only one thing I do in this world that is worth a damn, it will be in getting this setup and distributed to the world.  I do fully intend on doing more than one thing though lol.

Cheers

dealing with trolls

yesterday it was the eurovision song contest.I went into a newspapers internett site (dagbladet if anyone is interested) and saw they had a forum for discussing the results (the results where coming in at the time). much of the forum was covered with the comments of two people, both trolls, one in norwegian and one in english. they where claiming that norway lost because we sent an immigrant to the finals (the guy was born in Iran but came to norway when he was just over 1 yrs old), and other…See More
