Lundsgaard replied to Christian Haupt's discussion The Daily Quest for Self-Esteem!

About Me:
If u asked a man of few words, he would probably describe me as a nonbelieving christian, who forever tries to understand how other people see things. That I'm skeptical and logically minded in nature, but enjoys just as much trying to push my mind through (mostly at first) impossible thought patterns. Or maybe he'd just describe me as some kind of nerd, bum, half insane and nice guy combination.... Now when I give it a second thought, I'd have to admit that I don't know that guy very well, so he might be way off. Who knows...
Favorite music:
AC/DC, Slayer, Motörhead, Pink Floyd, Type O Negative, The Presidents of the United States of America, Povl Dissing, The Police, AC/DC (again!), Queen, Led Zeppelin, Clutch, Fantômas, Weedeater, The Band, Eagles, De Nattergale, B.B. King, Hatesphere, Jurassic 5
(to keep it short I gave it 20 spins on iTunes)
Favorite movies:
Terminator II, Commando, (Arnold in general actually), Monty Python stuff, movies that managed to surprise me in some way the first time I saw it, well, actually also some that didn't... Well, tbh I don't see that many movies and preferences depends on mood and a vast variety of often unknown influences present atm...
Favorite books:
hmm...
Practically everything worth reading I guess. The first book that pops into my head, is the only book so far that have left me laughing myself half to death at the end of each page every time I read it; the "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" saga.
Goals/Projects/Aspirations:
Working on ways to combine my knowledge of my main interests, which is philosophy, theology and science. (Lamely wide definition of my main interests, I know). More specifically, I'm very fascinated by the structure of all sorts of conflicts, and how we understand others.

I've been brewing on a second version of one of my exam reports from my first year studying Philosophy, in which I tried to link the thought of the selfish gene, with a theologically based argumentation pointing out the problems involving a thought of an all knowing, singular and existing God, if this belief is the foundation of an argumentation, which allows you to judge another human being. Then using this foundation to point out the problem with the way movements like the new atheist arguers, who tries to burn down religious beliefs, purely with logic, common sense and science as their weapons, by which they are so certain of victory, that they make a fool out of the believing man (which is about 90 % of Earths population). But what does that mean, when your fighting the fight for truth and pure justice, right?

I would really like to evolve this project from the "I'm angry and new to serious philosophy and I like to conclude stuff" version, to a more sober and opening, hopefully clarifying, version. Furthermore I would like to expand the part about Scientific philosophy and the philosophy of science.
