Heaven, Hell & Action

Posted on May 27, 2009 at 1:00am 9 Comments

As an atheist I do not mean heaven and hell as the two options we are given when we die, instead I'm using the terms and what they represent to demonstrate an idea I have had.

I see heaven and hell as an ongoing process, heaven i'd define as our waking state, hell as our dream state, the two are separated by action.

When you are dreaming all you can do is consider and philosophise because you are not awake and thus you are not able to take any direct action… Continue

Today the votes will be cast on whether or not the internet will remain a free and equal domain for all.

We have emailed them, some of us have called them, and now we just have to sit and wait to here the results.

I'd like to thank everyone and anyone who did ANYTHING to help educate MEPs as to the reprocutions of their vote. I'd also like to thank further, anyone who did call the MEPs because I know it wasn't always that easy, considering rude secretaries, ignorance or… Continue

The Beginning

Having only joined the I Power community very recently, things have moved very fast for me. My first day in the vent had me talking to some very interesting people indeed and was a great introduction into the sort of intelligent debate and mature discussions that I would now be privy to and I have only the I Power originators to thank for that, for without them I would not have met such great people and continue to meet great, interesting people. Shortly after I was talking to both Dean and Ian… Continue

“To achieve great things, two things are needed; a plan, and not quite enough time.” - as I have already discussed, I do not plan these blogs and it's quite clear that I have an abundance of time. What a great explanation for their inadequacies. Time is all in the mind as I'm sure you're aware and it just so happens that the human perception of time has ended up the way it did. A fly's perception of time is much different, seconds take hours etc. This is why they have the reflexes they do.… Continue

'Step Up to the Plate Monday'

The way I see it there are two main types of member on the IP site. There are those on here looking for some kind of advice or help in areas that they are otherwise confused by, and those who are on here with the intention of giving advice and helping their fellow members solve the problems they face. Ideally, we would all occupy traits from both these 'types' as both are necessary for a community-wide development process. However, I feel as though some of you may feel that you do not have…See More
