Public apology for any offence taken

Hey guys,I would like to make a public apology for any offence taken at my comedic critique of Shiznit's behaviour on iPower. The mistake I made was conflating a list of facts naming successful US government officials, with a comedic critique of Shiznit's behaviour as I saw it. It appears that the comedic critique part was taken rather too seriously by some and resulted in receiving a sinister threat delivered by private message. So I would like to take this opportunity to apologise for any…See More

About Me:
Hi guys, I'm big in to self-development and have learned much since 1999 when I begun my journey of self development to improve myself and my life which was pretty shit. In the later years this has become a journey of enlightenment; sustaining joy and love.

I share what I know about self-development on the website www.therearenosides.org and have met my first goal of 1,000 subscribers on Youtube. The topics this project covers include self-development (individual improvement), social evolution (many people improving themselves and the subsequent benefits that creates in society), and The Power of Now (A book by Eckhart Tolle about enlightenment which brings together many ideas and teaching over thousands of years and cuts through the bullshit).

Google Vs. Net Neutrality

Posted on October 27, 2010 at 9:19pm 8 Comments

Hi guys,

Some of the information on net neutrality can take a long time to absorb, but I think this video is pretty concise.

Net neutrality was off my radar for a long time, because as long as we are using the internet and are not personally affected it's tempting to say "aw, there is no problem, it's working fine today, see!" But that outlook really is niave in my opinion, (although I did used to think like that myself).

Because the commercial incentive for… Continue

Happiness Is Not Outside You...?

Posted on August 3, 2010 at 10:00pm 2 Comments

I just came across this video from GeraldP1983 which is very solid advice for anyone seeking to develop bullet-proof happiness in their life.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bGLvHO37wCQ

I see the core message that happiness is never by itself, it is always the opposite end of unhappiness, the two are inseparable.

The natural questions which arise in my mind following this 5 minute nugget are:…

I just wanted to mention that after being impressed with your recent video regarding the Fukushima disaster I decided to check out some of your other work. I was initially afraid that you might be a New Ager until I watched the video that you did about Eckhart Tolle being a Pimp - LOL - which was also very informative, and then I let my defenses down a little concerning you. {You should post that one up here, btw, if you haven't already done so.}  I ended up watching about 10 of your other videos from your 3 different channels, and enjoyed most of them very much.

People quite often take me wrong when I rail on the New Agers on this site and automatically think that I must be a pessimist, or a nationalist, or a conservative, etc., because I am critical of them, when the truth is that I am none of those things. I am actually in favor of raising human consciousness and awareness, and I support the idea of global cooperation and of mankind entering into a new phase of development.  I firmly believe that our technological developments are going to force these types of changes upon us, or cause us to destroy ourselves if we resist them.  I am a Star Trek baby, after all, and I think that Gene Roddenberry could prophetically see where we were all headed, or could at least envision what would be required of us if we were to ever avoid annihilating each other and reach beyond our own solar system. So I guess you could say that I actually have a few things in common with the New Agers, but that I despise their wild and unscientific ideas.  It is my belief that if we ever are to enter into a "New Age" of human evolution, it's going to be the intelligent & rational people on this planet who will bring us into it, and not the metaphysical conspiratards.

Keep up the good work.  I liked & subscribed.  ;-)

Well thanks for the complement :) I mean it is just plain text with a camera moving in a 3D environment + some sound effects. But if you have some ideas I might be able to put them into life :)

PS it is called "Adobe after effects" ;)

Honestly, I believe it depends on the person. I like deadlines, so they work for me. But goals would be substantial enough for me. But then the wording of my challenge would be different. let's say i was on the 20 pound challenge, with the goal being to loose 20 pounds. The goal is enough, because the timespan would be relative to how fast you loose weight.
