Obama Socialist

I just opened up yahoo messenger. There was a banner that said "Obama Socialist" with a picture of Obama looking hopefully into the future. At the bottom of the banner it said "Vote Now"No punctuation. No verbs.Nothing but what I just put in quotes. At first I was it trying to say that Obama is a socialist? Or is it arguing against the claims that he is...but my confusion was further when I read "vote now."Are we voting on whether or not he will become Socialist? The more I think…See More

You know, you have to think about why that was said originally. That person must have been a genius. Its so simple.Observation is the key to learning.Pay attention to your surroundings, listen to the people around you.You learn a lot.Observation is the key to learning, and knowledge. When you learn through observation you gain basic knowledge. What you can know is limitless.Observation is the key to learning, knowledge, and understanding. When you think back on what you already know, you begin to…See More

City/Town: (eg. Antwerp, San Francisco,...)
Country/State: (eg. Belgium, Florida,...)
About Me:
I am a martial artist and a college student at Arkansas State University. I believe that "the sword that remains unsheathed will rust." I joined IPower because I noticed that the American society now discourages individual thought and IPower is a community that not only encourages individual thought, but also benifits from the opinions it set out to provoke.
Favorite music:
I love the music of rock, and the poetry of hip hop.
I hate country.
I think its sad that popular music around the world is popular, not because of the amazing, technical music...but the lyrics..which mean nothing anymore...
Favorite movies:
Thrillers, mysteries, anything that provokes thought.
Favorite books:
My favorite Authors are Anne Rice, Stephen King, Jim McGuigen, and Lee Stroble.
My favorite composition of authors is the Bible; whether your a believer or not, you can find most the answers you need in it.
I have many dreams. I wish to be a counselor to children with bi-polar dissorder so I can help them live day by day the way I learned to. I want to be a voice over guy for a foreign language program. "Tiene hacerlo tambien" "You can do it to." I wish to open my own Tae Kwon Do school. But most of all, I want to be a credible writer. In a society that discourages individual thought, it is near impossible to gain enough credibility to spread your beliefs in a way where others will believe.

Anti-Conformity, Today and During the Renaissance

Posted on February 3, 2009 at 5:08pm 1 Comment

It is amazing how history repeats itself. Take notice of the anti-conformist of today, and read up on those of the renaissance. You'll discover 2 prevailing repeated factors: 1. Anti-conformist that rebel against what is socially excepted all conform to fit into a certain group. and 2. Those who act and think from their heart are labeled as outcast.

Its absolutely amazing that the thought process hasn't changed. Both today and then, when someone was/is convinced that conformity is bad,… Continue

Today's Philosophers

Posted on January 27, 2009 at 11:03pm 3 Comments

Anyone like conspiracy theories? If so, here is some food for thought.

Who are the major philosophers of our era? Can't name any?

Just think about it, why do philosophers of our time live without fame?

Why is teaching virtually the only option for someone who gets a degree in philosophy?

Why is it so impossible to get enough credibility to have your ideas heard abroad?

The reason is because, in the modern era, individual thought is discouraged.

A philosopher's… Continue

Other People Are Just Like You!

So, today I went to Pizza Pro, a local Pizza place that I visit often. There, while waiting on my pizza, I overheard an employee talking about one of her ex boyfriends. She said that she had called him hoping to get some action, but to her dismay he told her that he had a girlfriend, that she was pregnant, and that she needed to stop calling him. In disbelief she called his sister, who confirmed that his girlfriend was infact pregnant..but it wasn't his child. At this point in the story she… Continue

Knowing Yourself...And Not Caring What Others Think?

Posted on January 5, 2009 at 5:27am 2 Comments

Believe it or not, most psychological dissorders are caused by too much

self reliance. Humans naturaly seek to find their identities, without

observing other people's thoughts and feelings, you will naturally attempt

to identify yourself by your own means. This is the root of narscisism,

somatization, body dismorphic disorder, and even eating disorders.

When you are forced to rely only on your opinion of yourself, you can lead

yourself to believe that… Continue

Hey, I understand that you want to leave things open to encourage thinking I left some questions of my own as well but I just felt that you could finish some of the open ends so as to encourage thinking from the reader agreeing or dissagreeing with them. Just my opinion.
Keep up with the writing!

I liked youre blog about self reliance its refreshing to hear something other than "what other people think doesnt matter" I think living somewhere between the two ideas is the way to go.
