My Disappearance and Reappearance (A Long Story Made Short)

Posted on September 1, 2010 at 10:54am 2 Comments

So I've been sitting here, starting threads, deleting them, starting blog posts, deleting them... I think I have a bunch of things I want to say but I'm not sure where to start. I'll start with the disappearance and reappearance of miltownkid.

So... Around this time last year I had a bunch of projects going on and wanted to do a million and one things. Eventually all of my projects and million and one things... Well, they didn't really come crashing down around me. It was…

Hew Miltownkid! Thanks for the welcome, and I hope to be active for a long time ;)

Even if you don't like fiction that much, you should definitely check out The Name of The Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. The best story ever written. Ever. And I've read A LOT of books. An amazing book with an amazing story and characterization / character progression written by an awesome guy. You can even check his blog. It's hilarious.

Hi. 'Operating Manual for Spaceship Earth' would be a good Buckminster Fuller book to read, but there are many, and they are in most major libraries, at least in the USA. 'Ideas and Integrities' is another, 'I seem to be a Verb' is a good one, and for the most intense and mentally exercising book, Synergetics I & II which lays out the Geometry Fuller found in Nature through experiment rather than Greek mythology. He is likely the hardest author to read I have ever read, because he sought to use words by their true meaning, and spent a year learning the biggest dictionaries so he could use words properly and tries to leave nothing out.  Read them one page at a time, because you will learn more from a single page of his words than most books contain.

Hey! Thank you:) Haha, well more browsing than stalking. Some pretty cool stuff here. Yeah me, my mom and sister moved to Norway with my norwegian stepfather in 2002. Big step from one of the hottest places to one of the coldest places. Where are you from?
