Dinner and movies?

Now that they've changed the ending theme, I can't get the previous ending song out of my head... How does that work? x_X

Anyway, we finally celebrated my mother's birthday with a dinner that all of the brothers could attend. I was surprised to see that my older brother had a beard though when I picked him up to go out. That is to say that I was surprised that he could even grow one at all, because I definitely… Continue

Week one

This is a post made after making a change with a post "omfg another start...". This post will describe what happened after using IPower and the 7 habits book for the first week.

I started to reading (listening really, audiobook) the 7 habits book, I was a bit sceptic at first because I didnt know how hard can a (good) book effect on people. Then i realised that the book gave me another dimension in interacting with people and facing my problems. After making my plan for the… Continue

Vegetarian Hater

A few weeks ago I joined popular radio personality Michael Baisden's social network iseecolor. According to him, the premise of the group is to appreciate the world's different races and colors for what they are, and not pretend to be colorblind. I'm not a tremendous fan of Mr. Baisden, but after getting two invitiations to join the group, I folded. The group is not meeting my expectations. It's not terrible, it just doesn't seem to be focused on what Mr. Baisden said it was. It's like it's… Continue

A Story Of Love

Love - it is a mystery - even to me. It is like a big round world. You can learn small parts of it but you can never get the whole picture. Sometimes painful, most of the time happy. Love is just one of those things that you have to experience to understand.

This is a very small piece from when I was a boy, but never-the-less, strange and amusing. I was just thinking about it for some strange reason and thought, I should tell this story.

My best friend Bob had an older… Continue

Today's Philosophers

Anyone like conspiracy theories? If so, here is some food for thought.

Who are the major philosophers of our era? Can't name any?

Just think about it, why do philosophers of our time live without fame?

Why is teaching virtually the only option for someone who gets a degree in philosophy?

Why is it so impossible to get enough credibility to have your ideas heard abroad?

The reason is because, in the modern era, individual thought is discouraged.

A philosopher's… Continue

quote

Normally, I wouln't publish any quotion here, but reading through a book ('The Rise of the Novel' by I. Watt') I found such a good one that I couldnt resist the temptation of sharing it with all of you-

The development of the novel's concentrarion on private experience and personal relationships is associated with a series of paradoxes. It is paradoxical that the most powerful vicarious identification of readers with the feelings of fictional characters that litarature had seen… Continue

For those wondering where I have been...

I have been dealing with a lot of personal issues lately. I spent sixteen days in a psychiatric ward here in town (the average stay is 3 days). I am not going to go into any detail on my diagnosis as it is a personal matter. I am struggling with nearly every aspect of my life right now and having a hard time staying positive. I have bad cases of insomnia that go along with my condition as well as dealing with my unemployment and an abundance of free time. However, I am happy to have this social… Continue

For this is the end for either one of us, who will suriive?

What if someone would do it?

Recently one of my teachers had the idea of turning one of our lessons in a sort of discussion. The topic was war and terrorists. Bet eventually we ended up talking about the possibility of WWIII. My fellow students did not really see how that could happen in this time. But I said that there should only be one person dumb enough to shoot a rocket in a zone with big tensions. It would look like the other started a war. My class understood that WWIII is very possible right now.
Or isn't it?
