The Key

The Key

For what do I owe this system?

All it ever did was hold me back,

the standards that I was bound with never relaxed.

They bogged me down in this murky life,

and I was expected to find joy in all that strife.

So I broke through the surface, felt fresh air in my lungs.

To have original thoughts, to me that's whats fun.

To be myself day in and day out, to never have question or doubt,

about who I am, and if these goals have… Continue

Pain

Many people on this earth seem to share the same fear, fear of pain. Whether it is emotional in the form of rejection or physical with a fear or needles, everyone seems to seek to avoid being hurt, even driving themselves to hurt themselves physically to help cope with emotional pain. We seek to 'band-aid' our hurts by denying it's effect; sayng it doesn't hurt us, or displace the anger we feel at our distress by 'taking it out' on someone or something else, but rather then actually dealing… Continue

It's been awhile...

Hey all! I figured it's been long enough since my last blog post to grace you with another. This one's a bit more serious though. I haven't really been too active these days (around here or otherwise). And I generally can't stand those people that bitch and moan about how much life sucks and what-not so hopefully I'm not doing that. For those who care I guess I just thought I'd update you on what's up with me, perhaps somebody can share some of that delicious IPower wisdom on… Continue

How to lose weight for newbs - Chapter #1

Hello! As some of you may know, I had this little project going from a long time (3 months now) and I hope it will help many members of the community.

Well first of all, lemme establish that I am not making up all of this, I am going with a nutrition specialist every week.... and well about the results they are real, at least did wonders for me, my brother and an ex. Works no matter how much you want to lose (even if you are like 3-4 kgs over your ideal weight).

Anyway I… Continue

My Fitness challenge update.

So, I made it to week 5, day 1 a few weeks ago, then due to partially to a major toothache, but mostly me making excuses, I dropped out.

HOWEVER, I have not failed, I have only suffered a minor setback. I'm in a much better state now, and after some testing I found I'm about where I was at the beginning of week 4 for pushups, and have barely fallen at all for the situps.

So: I've decided to pick things back up at week 4, but with a twist: since the situps are piss-easy for… Continue

Discipline

I find that discipline is a funny thing. When exercised regularly and properly it's one of the single most valuable assets to your character, enabling you to pursue your goals and make your days productive despite your emotional state or external influences, giving you a firm sense of control over yourself and your life and giving you the strength to go on in hard times. Yet on the other hand when that discipline is not exercised for a week and you allow yourself to slip back into a lazy… Continue

Short, short sporadic Vodka update

I GOT FIRED ON WEDNESDAY!

YES YES YES!

I have been so burned out that it's scary.

I get unemployment for 26 weeks, hopefully I won't need all of it, but I really need the time away.

Oh, since I'm fired, my name's Justin. Take THAT, Earthlink!

Peace out. I'll be around more now, I think :)

Mexico hunting and disturbance of the environment have many species to the brink of extinction.

The components of the biosphere, are divided into inorganic compounds, such as light, soil, water, and organic, which in turn are divided into flora and fauna.

Throughout the ecosystem both vertebrate and invertebrate animals, are an important factor. Their relations with the rest of the… Continue

PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE NOW!!

Well...since I've been going to school I've been obliged to stand up and put my right hand over my heart, and say the Pledge Of Allegiance

I pledge allegiance to the Unites States of America, and to the Republic, for which it stands, One nation, Under God, with liberty and justice for all.

You see, I love my country, I would be willing to die for it, for the ideals of freedom, and all the rights we have.

But this pledge...I've gotten to a point in my life, where I… Continue

Finally started writing.

I have been wanting to start writing for a long time now, and I finally decided to after listening to a few of my friends at work drone on about reality TV. I figured a poem would be a nice quick start and this is what I came up with.

Shatter

I see a fun house maze of faces all around me.

They all look uncertain and the same.

Society has molded us into mirror images of each other,

uniform clothes, identical thoughts, and twin expressions.

The… Continue

On the Clouds

I want to rest on the clouds,

In the sky above the Avenue.

I want to sit on the horizon,

Watch the river flow in the distance,

Taking the form of a thought,

And carrying me into the day,

Bringing me light from the Sun above,

And comfort from the Moon below.

I want to travel through the trees,

Observe the night like an owl,

Spread my wings into the breeze.

I want to put myself onto paper,

And become a fabrication.

A creation of the… Continue

This Wall

This wall rises high,

reaching beyond the sky.

Now at the bottom, standing alone,

like a million miles from home.

Reaching up, I take hold,

for I know I must try.

Now for you I call,

but you cannot hear my cry.

You stand there, staring down to me,

I look up to meet your gaze,

only to see you looking away,

your memory is fading this day.

I'm pulling as hard as I can,

so why am I still sinking?

My hand is… Continue

Cooking video recipe

For the people who want to try out that dish from the cooking video, here's the recipe and instructions, might be handier to follow than the video.

What you need:

- Raw vegetables of your choice (ones I used: broccoli, carrots, cucumber, red peppers, mushrooms, tomato)

- Whole grain pasta

- Oregano (if you don't like oregano, try basil or rosemary)

- Coconut oil (or olive oil or butter)

How to prepare this:

- Cut up the broccoli,… Continue

My goodwill

This might be comparable to a lot more situations, but it seems to come down to greed, in the end.

At my internship, we're kinda free in choosing what to eat. Hell, we are even alowed to make toasts and making sandwiches behind our computer. Of course, we have to get the ingredients ourselves.(Nearly said reagents/mats lol)

For a tosti-toast, you need bread and cheese. Everyone has bread. Nearly no one has cheese. So like, a few days I was quite hungry and felt like eating… Continue

the message was clear.

aren't they always, though as humans we are so blindsided by the everyday, that we cannot seem to reach above the rat race and get it.

finally, i was still, as my universe commanded. finally. not very good at being still. but, it is only in being still, one can hear.

grow. no, not grow up.....

just grow

Bad Things About Cell Phones And People.

The most important thing that people should keep in mind about using a cell phone is using common sense and being polite. People should follow simple guidelines of common courtesy when using a cell phone in a public place . Public places are designed to be enjoyed by all. Just about everyone at one point or another has been annoyed by someone not practicing cell phone etiquette.

Talking too loudly and holding inappropriate conversations in public is a negative guideline of common… Continue

Gift-wrapped

So, I've been away for a while. School has been owning me. That shit seriously sucks my soul out. Anyway I managed to finish another short story. Comment, and enjoy!

Gift-wrapped

My eyes unfocussed, as I allowed the image of the crowded room to blur. Slowly, the once sharply defined vision would go converting into a mere array of colours barely correspondent to the original image. Instead, it would strongly resemble an over-watered palette of a careless painter. The… Continue

Wahoo blog!

Well.... this its not a blog entry per se, (and I think I havent done a blog like ever haha). Anyway I am going to start a little experiment in here and see how it goes. On the music widget thingy that its up there on the left side, im going to be uploading different pieces of music, which well... can define my actual state of mind or mood =).

It will be only one at a time and they will remain nameless... well almost nameless =b, because I love the mizteriez haha, also to keep it… Continue

What is Haeven?

This was aritten by my great friend Seth Bennet.

Some will say it is the home of God and all of his believers. Others will say it is a land filled with virgins. Then there are the people who just describe it as three words: paradise and bliss. Supposedly, everyone is perfect in Heaven, but how can a society function like that? Maybe my mind is just not able to wrap around the thought of no one having conflict. I, personally, wouldn't like to be in a place where there was no… Continue

About the Community Update Video

For the people who were waiting for the Community Update video of today (yes, Mary, like you), we will probably be delaying it a bit to not have it come online so short after the in-depth I Power video, but it should be on pretty soonish anyway.

Also if anyone has ideas for these videos or things they feel we should really mention, feel free to PM me about it, cause I'm sure I often forget to mention stuff that's noteworthy about the community. Same goes for the "awesome thing of the… Continue
