Hey, arrond boy, we need pine-sol!

So I worked major overtime this weekend and my boss came in because she wanted to clean the shop with me top to bottom, so on top of doing crap Saturday in terms of bringing in money we made the shop spic and span in terms of cleanness. Talk about dusty, my god. Which I can imagine, we, the crew haven't thought about actually scrubbing the place down in a while. Other than the usual mopping, cleaning the counters and general stuff to make the shop smell fantastic we never really got down on… Continue

Conservative Government not so different then I-power?

Breaking away Government interference though political parties maybe not such a crazy idea?

I have been kind of messing around on face book with a few friends of mine from high school and its kind of turned into my SDA if you will my project to not only free myself of my bonds of my own bubble but see if I can change the world a little bit while I’m at it.

I’m a Republican you see a Libertarian republican no less and have studied politics for my whole life and it came to… Continue

Say no to exploitation and make decent and dignified work happen for every world citizen

Decent work, the campaign in Dutch is called "waardig werk", which sounds better, because it means "dignified work". I think the campaign picture says a lot and it is the harsh reality. The majority of the world population is still enslaved. I would call it the modern enslavement of globalization. It can be called assymetric exploitation, and organisations such as ILO (International Labour organisation) bring awareness and… Continue

FAIR TRADE: Consume in a FAIR way! Change society from Bottom Up.

At this moment we are living in the backlash of the 2007-2008 global food crisis. Such an important and crucial crisis with so many victims, too much deaths, but apparently not important enough to reach the media. However it was certainly felt in the entire South or Third World where massive social protests were held, from Northern Africa, all the way to the Middle East and Sub Sahara Africa, all… Continue

diary of victories number 2

I said I would do this weekly but I sort of forgot, so yeah here we go.

1. Bought a sick new computer mouse.

2. Landed a job at a waterpark as a lifeguard with pretty amazing hours and pay for someone may age.

3. Activiley thought for a topic reguraly for around 20minutes a day. Hopefully will vlog on one of the topics.

4. Passed up soda for water on numerous occasions.

5. Downloaded Notepad++ and practiced some html coding, considering doing this for a… Continue

What I Know ( From Nov. 2008)

I wrote this awhile back and have now transferred it over from my old I Power account...

~~~~~~
I have often heard tell that to write well one must write what one knows. And I think that is where I shall begin; every journey must start some place.
I know love. I know friendship and peace. I know heartbreak and distance. I know the feel of the passing of time but also of raindrops on my skin. I know I have passion. A burning, bubbling, throbbing passion pushing against… Continue
Train of thought: agnosticism
To think that whichever entity it is that created mind & matter would want a mere form of life such as us humans to behave in specific ego-related patterns is nothing short of the most arrogant attitude we can have.
We humans, a mere form of life on a planet's that's nothing but a grain of sand in the universe, cannot realistically consider ourselves a predominant factor of that entity's "wrath", if "wrath", said entity can experience.
Considering this entity created… Continue
this is why I read my webcomics daily
Hey everyone, it's been a long time since my last blog, I know, I'm not going to excuse myself for it. Monk schedule didn't include "blogging about it" Monk schedule now includes a bit of "blogging about it", as much as I'm inspired to.
I would go and discuss things like decisions and decision-making in my mind, but every so often I'd find myself in a loop. Then something like this comes around. Sudden… Continue
Give it a go
Who am I? I am not this world that I see. I am not driven by money, I am not lusting for power or anything they tell me to. I don’t think. I have always aspired to change the world I think most of us have, well maybe the best of us do. The ones that care. At the moment I am not ready and I always knew I wouldn’t be ready straight out of school or indeed before my character has been tested in some harsh fires. So now I aim to venture deep into fire to forge the character that I desire, I need… Continue
Back Roads
Shall my crop not grow without the manifestation of ghostly plagues? will the weeds of worry rise with the stalks conceived of my diligence? But if shall sow and set fertilization on unsightly purslanes, shall the feed not tide the harvester’s need of luminance? Though the forest that surrounds is dark and unintentionally lined, the imagination it astounds while just part of the often unknowingly inclined, the horizon is a quenchable blue omen and is ceaselessly inviting for available… Continue
Little note on emotions and choice
Most people grow up being taught that they cannot control their emotions. It's generally accepted that feelings like anger, fear, joy, love, ecstasy etc. are things that just happen to them and they simply have to be accepted, and cannot be controlled. When something bad happens people just naturally feel the negative emotions that come with it and "wait it out," until something comes along that makes them feel better; it's a completely reactive lifestyle, but above all the idea that we are not… Continue
I Power Flyer and Business Card - Update
Alright, so the I Power flyer is evading me at the moment. After wracking my brain around a concept for it I decided to put it aside for now and got the I Power 'business' card done. I really like the way this turned out. It looks both professional and (perhaps this word will fit what I'm going for) trendy.
It was quite fun to make and when I finally get a concept for the I Power flyer I will have it up and ready for you all to use and to sling out, mail off, use as a weapon for… Continue
1 Year Goals
I think it's very important to set yourself goals, long term and short.....and not just on new years.
My 1 year goals are written down in my journal, and stuck onto my fridge to remind myself every morning what I want to achieve.
Using pressure as a positive force to help keep you on track is also useful, which is why I'm posting my goals on my bloggins.
Lee's 1 Years Goals
1) Get down to 10st. Improve my fitness and energy.
2) Lead… Continue
