My life changed today

My life changed today.  I'm in a new town, with a new school, and what I thought would be 3 more years of school turn out to be 2 thanks to some fancy course arrangement.  I feel like helping people.  For the first time in my life I want to do good, simply for the pleasure of it.  And for the fist time in years I am truly optimistic.

Intentions, Actions, and Activism

I’ve met a lot of people with good intentions in the last several years. These were smart, well-meaning, and generally evolved people. They were thinkers, and they thought a lot. Something thinkers like to do is talk. They talk with other thinkers, and exchange more data to think about. They pick apart every detail of something and find every possible fault or weakness in an idea, and they tweak the original idea again and again attempting to reach perfection.

This quest for…

1st week of self-teaching

Last sunday i made a post on the forum that i was going to start teacing myself, since i didn`t get into the school i wanted. So i`m doing this kind of to see how well i can learn outside of the system of education. And i think it is a good idea to write about it on i-power. If anybody is interested in this kind of thing they will have something to read, and i get yet another opportunity to practice my english, so it`s win-win.

The way i worked this first week was that i set…

ISP and Privacy

Since I've been into on-line privacy and censorship I wanted to research the privacy policy of my ISP.

The only document I found was: privacy.pdf and some reference to Belgian law.

I now proceeded and contacted my ISP asking what kind of data they keep about me, for how long and if I can get a copy of it.

Curious if I'm going to get a straight answer from them,…
