I challenge thee, to write a tribute, TO YOURSELF.

A friend of mine challenged me to do this months ago, and I tried. But nothing really expresses the way I love myself. Because I am not used to saying positive things about myself. Ever.

I want to do this assignment to practice loving myself , but I don’t seem to succeed. I already have done several attempts. But I quit when it is not even half done. I hoped by doing this as a group thing we could stimulate one another. Because i think it is just a great idea.

So I invite you to join me, to love yourself for who you are, and express it in words, it can be a letter, a poem, a song, anything.

I look forward to see what you guys come up with.

With love,
Els

An Ode to The Shiznit --

Whenever justice and logic are required,

There is one you can call who never gets tired.

A champion to save you when you're in distress.

A wonderful man, who never fails to impress.

Talented, Intelligent, Funny, and Fit...

To solve any problems, just call The Shiznit.

10/10 to Shiznit. Wish I could rhyme. I may follow up with another comment. Cool idea.

I got stuck on wanting to write it in first person, with ALL emotions.
But Shiz inspired me to just try it, without requirements

I love her

Long brown hair, clear blue eyes

Her outfit no disguise

She is weird, clear to see

Wonder if she wants to discover this world with me

It is in the way she walks,

In the twinkle in her eyes

As long as we are together

Every day is a surprise

I like the things she makes me see

I really love her

The confident side of me.

And thus the Oliver spoke:

See, i will go out an create a world of love and peace.
All the freedom, the power and my dancing heart.
I will let them flow freely without fear or mistrust,
since there is nothing you can loose,
if you give everything you have.

And so the Oliver went out, and his heart danced the dance of gods.

Condemning others to validate ourselves.

I'd like to discuss something that bothers me about people, how often times people condemn others for doing something wrong all the while ignoring their own transgressions. I'm going to use an extreme example of school shooters. Society condemns…See More
