Hello to all Ipower members and anyone else that is reading this introduction/blog my name is Nathan I'm currently going through the process of quiting smokes and weed.  The catalyst for me joining this site was friend Dale of all the people in my life including my parents Dale is the only one who managed to get through to me that I was in fact a horrible opportunistic leech type person and not the nice person who for some reason bad things kept happening to them.  Over the period of time that I started living with him he showed me that I had 5 stages which I kept cycling through and that by not conciously thinking about what I was doing I was setting myself up to repeat those 5 stages.

People talk about tough love but sometimes I don't think they really understand what it means, it actually took a lot out of Dale to show me these things repeatedly until one day he just let me have it with both barrels.  And now here I am.

Reeses Video about changing habits and expanding our short term memory was the next thing I watched straight after I knew that strengthening my short term memory was one of the keys of stepping out of this miserable cycle that I put myself in.  My short term memory has always been terrible and I have never really discipled myself to try and do something about it but now I have started the process and when I am over the flu that I have I plan to start meditation and goal visualization and anything else I can get my hands on to help me to become a better human being.

Good introduction. I`m looking forward to see what conclusions you will make about which goals you`ll choose, how you want to achieve them and lastly, how it went:)

Nathaniel Mortazavi replied to Lore's discussion Condemning others to validate ourselves.
"Absolutely, I completely agree. The only way to solve the problem is to eliminate the cause. Exactly, the shooter gains worldwide fame over night. Why would a resentful, friendless, lonely, insane young man who wanted to leave an impression on the…"

"From the last three lines of your post, I'm assuming you are applying the "better safe than sorry" mentality to life-rights over all of time. This addresses points 3) and 5) of my post on Wed 5/15, but does not address points 1),…"

"Interesting. I think that just being aware that our behavior is not always justified and taking on some personal responsibility can go a long way."

Lore replied to Lore's discussion Condemning others to validate ourselves.
"Maybe I take empathy and attempting to understand such actions by people to the extreme, but I think it is important to understand the causes of such behavior. You do bring up a good point about school shootings Nathaniel, in that the media makes…"

Nathaniel Mortazavi replied to Lore's discussion Condemning others to validate ourselves.
"I agree with the principle to an extent. However, in the case of school shooters, I don't think it can be justified. Same with rape. There's definitely a line, but like you said, those are the most extreme cases. On the topic of mass…"
