Scientific Research & Self-Development Activism
Things are starting to heat up in my classes as I'm in the middle of the second week. I have already submitted my fist poem for my creative writing class so I'm looking forward to the feedback I get on that. In my computer class I'm just trying to get a feel for the new layout as we are using Windows 8 and Microsoft Office 2013. I got a 100% on the first quiz in that class so I'm glad I have a solid foundation for the rest of the semester. I'm very nervous, yet excited about my public speaking class because we get to pick one topic from a list and use it for our informative and persuasive speeches. I got my first pick from the list and that was "Are Americans really free?" I'm just trying to figure out how I can present this topic in an informative way.
I do feel pretty overwhelmed with trying to juggle my full time studies with other things I want to do with my time such as make contributions to I-Power. I feel quite drained after my Tuesday/Thursday classes, but I'm really enjoying them for the most part. As for the intro to paralegal studies, I think this will be the most challenging class for me as there is a lot of new terminology to learn and with it being a three hour class, we are bombarded with information. It really is quite dizzying at times.
I have been very stressed about my financial situation as I left my job so I could just focus on school. While I am glad I did that, it has really put a burden on my parents as they help me financially. I'm just lucky I have parents who are willing to help out like that. I know I'm not too keen on school and all but I have been given such an opportunity with my parents backing me. I just hate how a lot of people who actually want to go to school can't go because they can't afford it.
