I came across this Event today on Facebook and thought, "Wow! Now that is a really creative and ingenious activism idea!"  And even though I don't smoke weed myself I do support its legalization, so I thought I just had to share this with you all. I'd like to see this go viral. :-D

The Plan {in better English}

  • Go to a shop for pet food or an organic shop and buy a pack of hemp seeds that are sold as Birdseed or for Baking.
  • You can buy a 300g pack for €2 with appx 12000 germ-enabled Seeds. Prices will of course vary depending on your location, and you'll have to be careful what kind of seeds you buy to make sure that the ones you get will actually germinate. For example, do not buy "hulled" or "sterilized" seeds.
  • From April 1st, litter the seeds in your neighborhood - in the village centre, or even in front of the local police Station. :-)
  • So that over 90% will germinate, it's best to dig up the ground a little first.
  • In the following weeks, many of the plants will grow and could get up to 3m high.
  • One person could grow so many plants!
  • Eventually the media it will get wind of this and Report about it, and this will be another step in the direction of legalization !
  • Note: Hemp plants are closely related to marijuana, but they will not get you high. lol

I am also against the "War on Drugs" in general, but, y'know... one step at time. *wink*

Can you grow sterilized hemp seeds?

I am not, (of course,) advocating that our members involve themselves in any illegal activity, so please check your local ordinances to see if you can do something like this in your area without breaking any laws. ;-)

Haha, shiiiiet :D It's hilarious to imagine how cities would look if many people participate. Funny idea that does no harm, I think. But I don't reeeaaally get how that should help anything regarding laws. I mean, media will report on it, some people will laugh, and.. that's it. I think.

Imagine the tax dollars going into having to clean that up.

Now compare it to the money spent on the war on drugs.

The "Anonymous Flower Children" (lol) did this in Göttingen last year and got some attention. :)
