So when, when I can see the pdf or other text version of this research? Than it will be a lot easier for me to understand and believe some suspicious statements.

I agree with Dinitri. There are so many questions that are unanswered, and may never be answered. Just as the Laws of Physics says for every action there's a reaction, then what called this "reaction" that we call "life" and all the matter around it? In the "Big Bang" theory, "Who" lit the fuse? Was it by chance, or was it a "Deity"? No one knows for sure. That is one of man's greatest quests, to find out where and how he became...

To anyone being overly critical and calling this a "failure";

You're missing the point. The point is to spark debate, interest, etc. There's no reason to get worked up over this just because it's all theory right now. That is the point; making bold claims/statements is the beginning of progress.

As a higher-functioning audience member with a Traumatic Brain Injury some years ago, the video certainly fits within the models of cognitive science I have since been exposed to, and I was able to understand the part I viewed. Delving into existentialism, and spiritual growth, the video is definitely worth at the very least a quick view for exposure. Although I am leery about this turning into some marketing gimmick, there is a solid discussion of Neural Science, and I look forward to watching more.

New model for the mind. Apparently we're not on and off switches, who would have guessed?

I think the furor over it is due to what many perceive as a bait and switch.   The initial hype they created relentlessly promoted that chiren WAS (not maybe) doing somthing extraordinary in science.   Now they seem they'd like to focus on the  quality neuroscience part of the vid which Reese frankly could have made without any assistance from Chiren...

And now Really?! with Nick Stephenson

Really Shiznit?  My location from which I was responding changed 6 days ago and you decided to flag my account as hijacked today.  Really?  So all these highly lucid and very similarly toned responses I've been posting since joining a bit more than a week ago led you to believe my account was hijacked when?  When I questioned FDR as being the best president in the twentieth century, or when I questioned your decision to post an article from a creationist web-site?  Really?  If you wanted to be…See More

Being right

In a sense I want to blow up the words “right” and “wrong”.  I want to banish them from my vocabulary.More specifically I do not ever wish to BE right.And I do not ever want to say to someone else “you are WRONG”. What is the purpose of being or proving oneself to be, right? And what is the purpose of proving someone else is wrong?Apart from some sort of ego based sense of satisfaction what is the purpose of these things? Can anyone give me an answer to this question? If someone says something…See More
