Seen this one before.

The question is, when they are smarter then us and self-programming and improving. What will they think of us? Will it be the sci-fi, computers will rule the world thing, or will they be superior at being kind-hearted as well and figure out a great way to co-exist?

I love this guy.  He is a bit controversial; but his track record for predicting the future when it comes to technology is phenomenal.  And there are 100's of videos out there with him & his ideas in them; both on YouTube, and elsewhere on the web.

@Beanow When humans and AI merge we won't have those issues. The AI becomes apart of us. The only problem is keeping human's ego's in check, something we have yet to overcome.

@ Luke, interesting thought. Didn't even think about merger when I mentioned co-existence. What if the AI outpaces our brains including it's ego and preemptively uses things such as NLP to make sure we don't chose for the ego-decision when it presents itself?

Or what if the AI manages to have such a deep understanding that it will be able to convince us being non-human is better?
